Not bedroom pop, but definitely intricate. Pointed, but not aggressive. Not dance floor material. Seductively Middle-Eastern tinged, maybe. Whatever. It moves.
I love that piano line.

Heard Friday before I lost my mind this weekend. (And it’s downloadable on their Bandcamp!)
Girlie coffee shop vocals reminiscent of more than a few successful locals that — without naming names — don’t bring the clever hooks or straight-up succinct poppiness like this.
Is surf-folk a thing?
Can you be tough, wistful and lovelorn all at the same time?
The hot demo drums seal it. Makes for a nice appetizer of the upcoming Afternoon Records offering.
